How to Play K-Pop Connections

K-Connections is Stanbox's daily grouping puzzle — think NYT Connections, but every tile is K-pop.

The rules

• 16 tiles in a 4×4 grid. 4 hidden groups of 4.
• Tap 4 tiles that you think belong together. The game auto-checks.
• All 4 right → group locks with its color and category name.
• Not all 4 → shake, lose a mistake. "One away" if 3 of your 4 were correct.
• 4 mistakes max. Solve all 4 groups to win.

Difficulty tiers

• 🟨 Yellow — mainstream K-pop knowledge (e.g. BTS members).
• 🟩 Green — medium (groups by label, popular songs).
• 🟦 Blue — harder (4th/5th gen rosters, sub-units).
• 🟪 Purple — tricky wordplay or cross-group patterns.

Strategy

• Don't submit your first guess immediately — look for obvious 4-tile sets.
• Watch for tiles that could fit two categories (deliberate misdirection).
• Save the group you're most sure about for last if you're worried about a trick category.
